Call of Duty has finally returned to providing us with weekly briefings via their blog. Plenty of new and exciting changes are on the horizon in the world of Call of Duty. This week in Call of Duty is sure to be exciting! Without further ado let’s jump straight into the intel!
Vanguard is coming… the beta that is. Weekend One of the Vanguard Beta, exclusive to PlayStation users who have preordered, runs from September 10th until the 13th. This will give users the first opportunity to try out the full multiplayer experience after the Champion Hill Alpha.
Black Ops Cold War will be receiving playlist updates this week. Players can jump into the Season 5 Moshpit to battle on Echelon, Slums, and Drive-In. A brand new Gunfight Tournament full of new rewards to earn is coming as well. Further, Throwback Moshpit is returning for players to duke-it-out on throwback maps now also including Slums and Drive-In. Finally, Gunfight Blueprints is back in Black Ops Cold War.
Running from September 2nd until the 7th, Call of Duty players can hop into select playlists on Black Ops Cold War for a free trial. Free access players who upgrade to the full version of Cold War will be gifted the Season 5 Battle Pass and tier skips. If you’re looking to level up, Double XP will be live from September 3rd until the 7th.
The Black Ops Cold War store also sees updates in the coming week. The Dark Dispatch Maxis bundle drops this week in Call of Duty featuring the Maxis “Noir” skin, two weapon blueprints, a new finishing move, and other cosmetic items. The Tracer Pack: Stryker Operator Bundle features the Stryker operator, two weapon blueprints, a companion finishing move featuring the RC-XD and other cosmetics. Finally, the Tracer Pack: Fire Starter Ultra Bundle features Park’s Ultra “Ember” skin, two weapon blueprints, and other cosmetic items.
