Today, Infinity Ward dropped the first major title update, 1.07. This update changes many things within the game, so sit back for the abbreviated patch notes!
New Maps + Mode
Krovnik Farmland has been added to Ground War, and Shoot House has been added to the multiplayer map pool. Hardpoint makes its comeback into the gamemode rotation. Shoothouse 24/7 will be added as well.
For weapon balancing, we see adjustments across the board that’ll sure make any rusher happy. The 725 shotgun sees a nerf, as well as Assault Rifles and LMG’s. SMG’s have been buffed to encourage faster play.
725 Shotgun: Increase to ADS and Hip Spread, reduced damage range
M4A1 Assault Rifle: Reduced damage range, small recoil increase
Assault Rifles: Increased hip spread to reduce effectiveness up close, less damage at long range for full auto 5.56 rifles
SMGs: Increased move speed, increased ADS move speed, small reduction in sprint out time
UZI SMG: Increased damage range
MG34 LMG: Increased hip spread, damage range reduction, small ADS slow down
M91 LMG: Increased hip spread, small damage range reduction
PKM: Increased hip spread, medium damage range reduction
Pistols: Increased move speed, reduced sprint out time, increased damage range
Crouch and Prone no longer adjust recoil
Pacing Changes
The long awaited pace change has DROPPED! We are now see the revival of the aggressive playstyle, bringing the game back to the beta sprint speed, as well as adding additional recoil to players mounting weapons!
Sprint and Tactical Sprint speeds are now back to speeds in Beta
Slight increase to recoil while mounting.
Claymore Fixes, Footstep Audio
At long last, we are now seeing a significant nerf to Claymores and the beginning of a series of fixes for footstep audio. Here’s the details!
Detonating an enemy claymore with bullets is now non-lethal when at full health. Trigger and damage radius are also reduced to better match the trigger width.
Adjusted footstep sounds behind map geometry, as well at distances. Another large footstep change is coming in the next update to address ADS and crouching footstep audio, making it quieter.
Battle Chatter Fixes
Frustrated that your character ruins your sneak attack by yelling a call out? Well, fear no more! Battle chatter has been adjusted, removing the ability for enemies to hear your callouts! Sneak away, and rush on!
Removed the ability for enemies to hear when they’ve been called out by the opposing team.
Riot Shield + Perk Tweaks
Riot shield now correctly mounts to a players back when using a throwing knife. Additionally, splash damage now correctly works on players using Riot Shields. Be on the lookout for more Riot Shield fixes.
EOD now ensures the damage taken from explosives is non-lethal, as long as the player is at full health.
Visibility Changes
Adjusted lighting for players to better see enemies in dark windows and areas. Will continue to be updated.
Gamemode Specific Changes
Updated CDL rulesets for private matches.
Bug addressed in Cyber Attack where players could lose their primary weapon and would be unable to see their viewmodel after being revived.
Fixed an issue in Ground War where you would occasionally not be able to pick a spawn point.
Addressed a bug in Ground War where a Tac Insert would cause a player to spawn in the enemy base.
Challenges/Rank Fixes
Currently, Daily Challenges and Missions are going through a sweep of testing and fixes. These will be addressed in future updates. Be sure to report any Challenge related progression issues to Infinity Ward!
Infiltrator challenge should now correctly track progress.
Launchers now correctly award XP when shooting down streaks.
Bomb planting/defusing challenge should now correctly track progress.
Camo challenge for “Kills After Reload” now gives the player more time to get a kill.
Fixed an issue where the XP required to reach the next rank was higher than necessary.
General Fixes
Backend fixes for crashes across all platforms.
Out of bounds fixes for Field Upgrades and Streaks.
Semtex warning audio tweaks.
Fix for Variable Zoom not working as intended in killcams.
In Headquarters, you can no longer spawn on a Tac Insert on a point that is captured.
Collision Issues addressed across maps.
Added UI to show when XP events are active in menu.
Enemies can no longer see the progress of an enemy bomb defusal in bomb modes. (Search & Destroy + Cyber Attack)
Fixed instances where players with Ghost and a Silencer would appear on a UAV radar.
Bug fixed where players would occasionally not see enemy pings with a personal radar when multiple were up simultaneously.
In Operations, explore Verdansk to find backstory regarding the area and operators.
Scoreboards now display correct values.
XP adjustments.
Fixes for parachute and out of bounds exploits.
Spawn timer no longer stays on screen after revived.
Addressed an issue where Munitions were not usable after respawning via gunship.
Fix for losing weapons after picking up a core.
Achievements can now be unlocked in CP.
Fixed an instance where players would spawn with weapons in the downed state.
Picked up Munitions no longer transfer in between games. Only the ones purchased with points.
When respawning via gunship, you will no longer be given the tank role.
Voices will now properly assign to the correct operator you choose when favoring the Allegiance faction.
Operation Fixes
Headhunter: Adjustment for a bug where players are not able to lock missiles onto the final boss helicopter
Crosswind: Adjusted stealth for gameplay
Paladin:
Addressed a bug where there was no indicator of where to go or how to finish the objective after defending the 3rd arms crate
Fix for a bug where the default weapon was different than the weapon a player would hold if they were put in Last Stand
