The Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer reveal is here. Call of Duty went live on YouTube to reveal the multiplayer experience for their forthcoming title. With plenty of exciting information to cover let’s jump straight into it.
The reveal centered around conversations between the developers discussing various aspects of Vanguard. After the Champion Hill Alpha, the developers focused on key data points and community feedback to improve the multiplayer experience. Taking liberties and risks to ensure a fresh, new, and fun multiplayer experience, Vanguard’s developers dove into what can be expected come the November 5th release.
The World reveal of multiplayer showed off plenty of exciting aspects of Vanguard multiplayer. New weapons, streaks, equipment, finishing moves, and much more were on full display. Players will hop into Vanguard using special forces operators from every front of the war and use brute force weaponry to take down their enemies.
Players can expect plenty of exciting content at launch on November 5th. Twenty maps, sixteen for the core multiplayer experience and four for Champion Hill, are available. Also, mounting and clans (reimagined regiments with exclusive rewards) returns in Vanguard. Further, combat pacing, blind fire, reactive environments, and so much more will debut in Vanguard. Additionally, Vanguard sees the introduction of Patrol, a brand new game mode with similarities to hardpoint. Gunsmith returns which takes the gun count from around 30 up to what feels like 100 with all the customization options.
Perks return in the form of Proficiencies allowing players to customize their experience to what fits their gameplay style. Moreover, field upgrades return in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Players will be fully immersed in World War II while playing Vanguard. The reactive environments coupled with photorealism ensures players feel closer to the action than ever before. Between the maps and operators, Vanguard is sure to be an immersive experience. After matches, players can be sure that the map will look nothing like it did when the match first begun.
At launch, twelve operators will be available for players to choose from. The experience of choosing an operator is unlike anything we’ve seen before. Captain Butcher, a character first seen in 2017’s WWII, forms special forces units with operators from every front of the war. Each operator can be levelled up with unique rewards, including finishing moves, along the way. In addition, factions are no more and players can be whichever operator their choose no matter their team.
The next-level customization between weapons and operators is sure to leave players feeling more in control than ever before.
The PC experience in Vanguard will be a pleasurable one for sure. Better accessibility settings will ensure a smooth experience for all players. Reduced input latency is sure to make Vanguard feel more reactive and ensure better gameplay. Further graphics customization settings are sure to make the gameplay experience more enjoyable for all. Yet again, Vanguard will see an FOV (field of view) slider available on console.
