The IPC Wind Down is an interview series in which IPC’s own BLASPHVMY has an open-ended chat with content creators to discuss a variety of topics ranging from their drink of choice, content, and even their plans for a possible zombie apocalypse. This week, BLASPHVMY sits down with Hannah, better known as NoisyButters who describes herself as a “content creator, YouTuber, streamer, (and) influencer”.

After some brief introductions, and NoisyButters trying to calm down her cat, the pair talked about their drink of choice, both of which agree going for Star Fruit GFuel – a flavor inspired by NoisyButters. She has been partnered with the company for 4-5 years now and after being contacted by GFuel to make her own flavor, she worked with the company to decide on a name and taste. Star Fruit was chosen to represent the “happy go lucky” brand she has established for herself. After being sent a sample flavor, which she now describes as the soft embrace of a gentle (COVID Approved) Hug, Star Fruit came to fruition… Fruitition. Sorry, we had to. The creative process for the tub art included her want for floating islands, stars, and an anime version of herself.

Over the years, NoisyButters has become a recognizable face in the Call of Duty community. But where did this begin? She first played Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare at a neighbor’s house, not owning a Call of Duty game herself until Modern Warfare 2. Her favorite memory of the iconic game relates to the competitive sniping community so popular amongst fans of the franchise. If you were going to smack talk NoisyButters, you best be prepared to get 360 no-scope triple Y cancelled! Although she regrets not making competitive sniping content back in the day, NoisyButters is always looking for ways to diversify her content. Inspired greatly by FaZe Jev, she looks to make more videos using a hand-camera and spectating Warzone solos.

Interacting with other creators is always sure to make for some good memories. When asked for a fond memory with a creator, NoisyButters recalls the time in which she first met FaZe Jev in Anaheim a few years ago. Sharing in the use of Jev’s famous pink headset, NoisyButters has been compared, or rather contrasted, to Jev as many have called her his polar opposite. This is a contrast not lost on Jev, who, when asked by NoisyButters, said to have read all the comments discussing the two.

Content creation is a process with many milestones along the way. NoisyButters fondly reminisced on when she gave herself a year to try and make YouTube “work” after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, then reaching 100,000 subscribers and then 1,000,000 subscribers on YouTube. She then recalls when she won the Best in Gaming Shorty Award, presented to her by DashieXP, a content creator she had been watching for years. Her favorite part about content creation is bringing “positive vibes and making people smile.” She does note the challenges of content creation such as balancing, maintaining, and keeping content organic and consistent. She talks about what has helped her and giving advice to those trying to plan; limit yourself to 5-6 tasks a day and when starting out, make those tasks small such as doing the dishes or going to get your mail, then build up to bigger tasks such as recording a video. When not creating content herself, NoisyButters consumes other content such as YouTube videos, horror movies, anime, or hanging out with friends and family to wind down.

If NoisyButters were given a chance to create her dream Call of Duty, two maps she would bring in would be Skidrow and Scrapyard from Modern Warfare 2. For weapons, she is bringing the AX-50 sniper rifle from Modern Warfare 2019 and the Intervention sniper rifle from Modern Warfare 2. Her choice of killstreak may shock you as she chooses the Wheelson (for which she has named her golf cart after) from Modern Warfare 2019. Should a zombie apocalypse ever come about, NoisyButters knows exactly who she would want with her. DEXB0T would provide some great comedy, Pamaj for his height and sniping ability, and BLASPHVMY as the zombie bait to run in circles, creating a train of zombies just as if it were Call of Duty.

As of October 8th, 2019, Call Of Duty Mobile has been out for one week, and the first week download data has been revealed. COD Mobile has officially been downloaded over 100 million times in its first week, shattering all first week app downloads.

According to data posted by Sensor Tower, Call Of Duty mobile has smashed records set previously by PUBG Mobile (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) and Fortnite.

Fortnite saw 22.5 million downloads its first week of release, while PUBG saw 28 million downloads. (Note: Fortnite was only available on IOS devices for the first few months of release).

For the shooter genre, Call Of Duty has completely shut out expectations and previously set records. It even saw itself surpassing Mario Kart Tour’s impressive 90 million download record in a week.

It doesn’t end there however, COD Mobile is also pulling in large profits for Activision, raking in a total of $17.7 million in profits. Here’s the revenue breakdown, as explained by Sensor Tower.

” The Apple App Store accounted for $9.1 million in revenue, or 53 percent, while Android users spent $8.3 million, or 47 percent. The U.S. was by far the title’s biggest revenue generator, with players in the country spending $7.6 million, or 43.1 percent of its overall gross. Japan was the second highest grossing country with $2.4 million, or 13.7 percent, while Brazil came in third with $848,000, or 4.8 percent. “
