HAPPY HOLIDAYS! It is that time of the year again, the holidays are upon us along with plenty of excitement! Call of Duty is getting in on the holiday spirit as the Festive Fervor event comes to Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone! Call of Duty is seeing many holiday themed updates to create some holiday cheer! With plenty of festive content to cover let’s jump right into it!

Call of Duty released the Festive Fervor event roadmap which showcases the exciting content coming to Call of Duty. This event begins on December 17th and runs until January 5th. Vanguard multiplayer is also free to play from December 16th until the 21st.

A limited time mode is coming to Call of Duty: Vanguard allowing players to entrench themselves in the event. A new Armageddon mode will be familiar to veteran fans of the Call of Duty franchise as it is a reskin of Drop Zone. Players will also be able to hunt down members of Elf Team Six across multiple modes. In doing so, players will earn match score and killstreak progress. Additionally, folk horror figure Krampus comes into Vanguard multiplayer to punish players who fail to help their team play the objective.

In addition to the aforementioned changes, both multiplayer and zombies in Vanguard will receive some festive visual updates. These updates will make Vanguard feel more festive and spread some holiday cheer. Most notably, Shipment receives a festive theme being dubbed Shipmas.

The holidays are coming to Caldera and Rebirth Island! Festive fir trees will begin to appear across the islands. Players who stay within the trees’ designated zone will be rewarded with some presents for their time. Krampus also appears in Caldera and Rebirth Island, randomly hunting down players, but he has special interest in those who receive coal from the holiday crates. Furthermore, Krampus has some surprises, both naughty and nice, for players who drop into Caldera and Rebirth Island. Gnomes, similar to members of Elf Team Six, will also appear for players to hunt down for rewards.

Those who own Call of Duty: Vanguard, or purchase before December 31st, are in for a special treat. Players will first receive ten free tier skips for the Season 1 Battle Pass which includes plenty of exciting content! Players will also get a 10% global player, weapon, and Battle Pass XP boost throughout Season 1. Finally, automatically unlocked are the 24 Vanguard tiers of the Cold War Season 6 Battle Pass.
