With Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone coming to a close in just over two weeks’ time, the final new weapon of the season has been introduced into the game. The first new weapon introduced in its class since Cold War’s release in November 2020 has finally been released. Here is how to unlock the AMP63.

AMP63

This pistol has garnered a lot of attention and hype as of late, so this release is sure to send a shockwave of excitement through the Call of Duty community. As with DLC weapons previously introduced into Cold War, there are different ways to unlock this new weapon, either through an in-game challenge or a store-bought bundle, so continue reading for the details on that.

For those of you who like a good challenge, hop into multiplayer and, using a pistol, eliminate five (5) enemies in twenty (20) different completed matches. That means be sure to not leave the match after getting those eliminations or your progress will not count. If multiplayer is not your thing, worry not as you can hop into zombies and, with a pistol, get 400 critical kills. These two challenges are the only FREE ways to unlock the AMP63.

If you’d rather not complete either of the challenges, or you’re just looking for the fastest way to unlock the new pistol, look no further than the Gamma Ray bundle in the store. This bundle comes with the legendary ‘Gravitazer’ variant of the AMP63, the legendary ‘Satellite Phone’ weapon charm, the legendary ‘Digital Reaper’ animated emblem, the epic ‘Splice & Dice’ sticker, and two (2) tier skips for the Battle Pass. If you have already completed the Battle Pass, these tier skips will be banked and put towards the Season 4 Battle Pass when that releases. This bundle will cost you 1000 COD Points.
