Season 6 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone is now live! With brand new weapons, maps, and so much more, Season 6 is sure to be exciting. Alongside the .401 Ironhide shotgun and the Grav assault rifle available through the Battle Pass, an additional melee weapon is now live! The Battle Axe is now available for players to unlock. Continue reading to learn how you can unlock Call of Duty’s newest melee weapon.

Similar with the introduction of other new weapons, there are multiple ways to unlock the Battle Axe.

The quickest and easiest way to unlock the Battle Axe is by purchasing The Berserker bundle! This barbaric bundle includes the Barbarian’s Axe variant of the Battle Axe along with 3 other cosmetic items! Additionally, the new Executioner finishing move is included alongside two tier skips. This bundle comes at a cost of 1000 CP (COD Points).

For the players who prefer a challenge, or don’t want to fork over some CP, there are various challenges to unlock this weapon. Players can unlock the Battle Axe in either multiplayer, zombies, or Warzone!

For those who choose to hop into multiplayer to complete the challenge, this part is for you. Get a kill with a gun, melee weapon, and piece of lethal equipment (semtex, frag, etc.) in the same life in 15 different completed matches.

If you prefer to take on the undead in zombies to unlock the Battle Axe, take note of the required challenge. Using a primary melee weapon, kill 10 abominations.

If Battle Royale’s are more your thing and you want to hop into Warzone to take on the challenge, here’s what you need to do. The challenge for this is the exact same as the multiplayer challenge above. Further, ensure that you do not enter the gulag in between these kills.

With Season 6 starting up, there are plenty of exciting changes sure to come to Call of Duty! A brand new zombies map, changes to Verdansk, and much more will shake up the game. Further, with Call of Duty: Vanguard less than one month away, players will soon be shifting to the forthcoming title.
