The Haunting, a Halloween themed event in Call of Duty is back in Warzone and has been introduced into Black Ops Cold War! Originally seen in 2020, The Haunting brings Halloween into Call of Duty through a series of spooky updates! With plenty of ghastly content to cover, let’s jump straight into it.

Running from October 19th until November 2nd, The Haunting takes players into the scariest corners of Call of Duty. New modes, operators, bundles, and other updates are sure to send shivers down the spines of all players. Brave enough to take on The Haunting and all of its horrors? Keep reading to learn more!

A brand new operator enters the battle during The Haunting as Ghostface becomes available to players through an operator bundle. With weapons featuring tracer rounds, Ghostface’s signature knife, a new finishing move, and more, this bundle is sure to make players scream. Further, players can become Frank the Rabbit from Donnie Darko via an operator bundle featuring the operator skin for Baker, a new finisher, and more.

Other operators in Call of Duty are embracing Halloween through a series of bundles. Three brand new bundles become available throughout the event allowing players to strike fear in their enemies’ hearts. Additionally, a new skin for Naga will be available in the store on October 22nd.

Throughout the event, players will be faced with two sets of nine challenges. One set will be for Warzone while the other will be for Cold War. Upon completion of one of these sets, players will unlock the brand new LAPA submachine gun. Players will unlock additional rewards along the way.

Warzone sees the introduction of and exciting, and horrifying, new game mode with The Haunting. The Ghosts of Verdansk takes players to a ghost infested Verdansk where they shall take on their enemies as well as the ghosts of fallen players. From turning into ghosts, a new fear meter, and more, players are sure to face down the supernatural in this limited time mode.

Cold War multiplayer also receives its fair share of Halloween themed updates. Infected, a fan-favorite part mode returns for a limited time. Prop Hunt Halloween sends players on the hunt for Spooky Season themed props. Scream Deathmatch pits two Ghostface players against a cast of survivors trying to be the last one standing. In addition, Nuketown gets a Halloween-themed makeover.

For fans of zombies, this already spooky mode receives Halloween updates as well. Hallows’ Eve Outbreak, a Halloween themed Outbreak, takes scare to new heights. Scare Packages that spawn in can contain useful upgrades for operators taking on the undead. Open these packages for a special treat… or maybe a trick. With Halloween-themed music, zombies with pumpkin heads, and other updates coming to zombies, operators can look forward to an even more terrifying experience.

After the event, players can look forward to the release of Season 6’s final new weapon. The Hammer & Sickle melee weapon will be available for players to use against their foes. Unlocked through challenges or an in-store bundle, be sure to stay tuned for further details on this exciting addition.
