With a lot of time to get our Modern Warfare fix-in throughout both beta sessions, we felt it was a good time to take a look at some weapons we have not seen yet.

Modern Warfare really is in quite a fortunate spot here. As a “soft reboot”, this Call of Duty title really has limitless opportunities to supply the community with just about any creative implementation we could want.

One of the key factors at play here is weapon design. There is no reason why every weapon in this game shouldn’t be extremely re-playable and desirable. Modern Warfare has the ability to encompass three previous Call of Duty titles into it’s meta… without sacrificing continuity, or even relying on the designs of other developers. Infinity Ward has a long enough repertoire to provide some stellar opportunity for nostalgia.

With that being said… let the list commence.

5 Weapons We Have Not Seen In Modern Warfare… Yet.

1. ACR (Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3) Perhaps one of the most sought after weapons of all time, the ACR from MW2 and MW3 is the perfect place to start. One of the most nostalgic MOAB-machines around, this definitely isn’t a weapon worth forgetting about
2. SCAR-H/L (Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 2) Yet another nostalgia capsule, the SCAR is always the pinnacle of throwback COD. One of the few weapons to appear in both Treyarch and Infinity Ward titles, the SCAR would make a perfect addition to Modern Warfare.
3. TAR-21 (Modern Warfare 2) For some odd reason, the TAR-21 always seems to be one of the greatest underdogs in the Call of Duty scene. Seemingly neglected as one of the most satisfying guns to use in the franchise’s history, this gun would be a really nice surprise for some veterans of the game.
4. UMP-45 (Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3) Not every weapon can go down in history as a menacing, well-rounded Nuke & MOAB machine. But, the UMP-45 can.
5. PP90M1 (Modern Warfare 3) Perhaps the most underrated SMG of all time, this fast-firing, Scorpian-Evoish monster should not be left in 2011. This would be perfect for Modern Warfare gunfight matches!
