Call of Duty has released their Weekly Briefing and yet again plenty of exciting updates are coming to the game. Most notably, Mid-Season Warzone Weapon Balancing, including some more minor changes to the Battle Royale, and the mid-season update for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3.
12v12 moshpit is being added into Black Ops Cold War throwing players into a 24-player respawn gamemode moshpit on 6v6 maps starting today! In addition, a new Gunfight Tournament is starting up tomorrow allowing players a chance to grab their duo partner and fight for exclusive rewards. Continuing this week are the Gunfight Blueprints and Party Games playlists.
The Cold War store will also be seeing an update with the introduction of the Tracer Pack: Antonov Operator Bundle including the new Antonov operator, two legendary weapon blueprints and other cosmetics and accessories. The Tracer Pack: Tropical includes three legendary weapon blueprints as well as other cosmetics. The Drifter bundle is a Western-themed four item bundle including an epic tactical rifle blueprint and other cosmetics. Finally, the Music Legend Mastercraft Bundle is an eight item pack featuring an operator skin, two weapon blueprints, and other cosmetics and accessories. For an in-depth breakdown of these bundles, be sure to check out Call of Duty’s Weekly Briefing
A recent patch included Warzone Weapon Balancing, bug fixes, and weapon tuning. Firstly, the Streetsweeper shotgun has been removed as ground loot (common and uncommon variants) and from supply boxes (rare and epic variants) while the Hauer 77 shotgun has been added to ground loot in the common and uncommon variants while the rare variant has been added to supply boxes. Bug fixes have been made to ensure players couldn’t reach out-of-bounds areas, to prevent player models from initially loading at low resolution at the start of games, and bugs causing the Cold War AK-47, FARA 83, XM4, and RPD to see decreased ADS move speed with the tactical and SAS Combat/Spetsnaz Stocks rather than increased.
Weapon tuning for the following guns have been made: the CR-56 AMAX, the FARA 83, the Streetsweeper, the Bullfrog, and the PPSh-41. For full patch notes check out Raven Software’s patch notes.
The mid-season update for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3 is on the Horizon. Taking a look at the roadmap posted at the beginning of Season 3 there are a few things we can expect in the coming weeks. Yet to be introduced have been AMP63 and Baseball Bat weapons, the Antonov operator (coming this week), the Duga map for multiteam (already seen in Outbreak), and the iconic map Standoff, originally seen in Black Ops II.
With plenty of exciting things to come to both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone in the very near future, be sure to keep tabs with IPC for the latest and greatest Call of Duty news and content!
